Covid-19 has a hold on our daily lives. We need to keep 1.5 meters apart, a new reality called "social distancing" has drastically changed our way of interacting with one another. We are working from our home office instead of at the office. Grocery shopping is more of a necessary evil, than a fun chore. The children cannot go to school, so our business and private lives are more interlinked than ever before.
Now that the government seems to be relaxing the measurements slightly , it has become even more difficult to keep 1.5 meters distance. What if we can go back to the office? What do we wear as protection for ourselves and others? Governments are either advising the wearing of a face mask or making it mandatory.
Nominette has developed a sustainable face mask in collaboration with sister company EE LABELS. The mask is, Oeko-Tex certified, produced in the Netherlands. It is a very fine double woven mask. The face masks are washable at a minimum of 60 degrees and therefore suitable for reuse. A sustainable alternative, to the hard to get disposable face masks. And this way the certified FFP2 masks stay available to healthcare professionals.
Through coughing and sneezing small droplets enter the air. Humans can inhale these droplets and become infected. When you sneeze, these drops usually don't go further than 1.5 meters. Keeping distance and avoiding contact can make the virus less likely to spread. This face mask protects from the inside out. It prevents your own droplets from reaching others. In addition, you also prevent yourself from touching your mouth or nose with your hands.
